TLC diet provides the following foods:
* The number of fat eaten on that day must add up to less than 25-35% of calories consumed
* From 25-35% from fat should be divided into the following categories: less than 7% saturated, monounsaturated less than 20%, 10% polyunsaturated
* 50-60% of the days of the calories should come from carbohydrates
* Eat at least 20-30 grams of fiber each day of high-quality
* Protein intake should be 15-20% of calories per day
* Cholesterol should be limited and kept under 200 mg
As diet is a set of guidelines that do not include calculations required to determine whether you meet the requirements necessary to make an appointment with a nutritionist to figure out what to do. Once you have demonstrated how to make the calculations and obtained the food samples, you can use it as a template to create multiple versions of the TLC diet. You can also take most of this information by reading the nutrition label on the package.
